5) Stay Safe (Watch for Dehydration and Altitude Sickness)
Staying safe is just as important in a hot environment as it is in a cold one. Don’t let your guard down just because things are steamy outside. Be sure to drink plenty of water, and don’t run too hard or too long on days when you don’t have much experience with that level of heat—particularly if you have any existing medical conditions.
6) Run With Purpose (Running Intervals, Hills, Sprinting…)
If you’re looking to lose weight while exercising, try different workout styles. If you normally run at a steady pace, try running intervals with timed sprints and light jogging between each sprint to give your body a rest. This will ensure that you’re burning as many calories as possible during your run. If you normally jog, do speedwork such as uphill sprints or incline sprints.
